It may seem like winter will never end, but bikini season is right around the corner. Don’t panic when your first pool party invitation sneaks in and you haven’t lost those extra winter pounds. START NOW! Below is our first tip in helping you to stay svelte and strong!
Tip #1: IMPROVE YOUR POSTURE
Without doing any ab exercises, you can look (and feel!) much leaner by simply standing up straight.
When you slouch, your stomach pooches. Try it.
SOLUTION: Draw your belly button into your spine and, using the balls and heels of your feet, push on the floor to distribute your weight and find balance. Don’t leave it all up to your poor back to support you! Remember this same rule when you are sitting. Push on the floor to help keep your body in line. This will give you an entirely new meaning to ‘staying grounded’ and your posture will improve instantly. It will take practice, but soon enough it will become second-nature. When you have good posture, your energy level improves and your lung capacity increases making you open and more awake.
