My honeymoon was an over the top, luxurious dream. Jason planned and mapped out every single
detail, and left me out of the loop just enough so that every day was a fun
surprise. We were in Hawaii for two
weeks, two weeks away from sweet babies and the real world.
We spent 2 nights on the North Shore of Oahu
and stayed in Turtle Bay , it was fun and family oriented with tons of
activities like the Triple Crown of Surfing, then a night in Honolulu before catching a puddle jumper plane to
Kauai. Kauai might have been my
favorite, although it’s really hard to pick.
It’s lush and rustic, 2 lane roads and single lane bridges. It was overcast and chilly at nights, the
perfect cuddle up honeymoon kinda weather.
After 4 days filled with helicopter tours, naps on the beach, exploring
and tons of room service, we flew to Maui.
Maui was more of what I always expected Hawaii to be, the beaches are
picture perfect and the weather was crisp and sunny. We paddle boarded and snorkeled with sea turtles;
I ate sushi at every meal, got sunburns and dreamt of shipping our babies
over and starting a life in Hawaii.
I can't think of a better way to celebrate our marriage, I wouldn't have changed a single thing about it. We rented convertibles and kept the tops down even when it was freezing out, we ate HUGE room service breakfasts every morning and some days we didn't get out of bed before dinner. It was laid back, it was luxurious and it was 2 weeks of uninterrupted bliss with my husband (who loves chocolate Sundaes in bed, btw). He is my most favorite person to travel with, and the thought of a lifetime traveling together is even dreamier than 2 weeks in Hawaii.
Love,
