Isn't love lovely? 2 Questions with Shelby

In honor of valentines day and some of our favorite couples, we asked a few of them to finish the following sentences:  "I was drawn to his _____."   "He gives me _______."

These are Shelby's answers.  Isn't' love lovely?

I was drawn to his DANCE MOVES. 

Have you seen Jason cut a rug?!?! It will make you immediately stop what you're doing and stare. And that's when he really turns it on! The first time I met Jason was at Uropa (Ahhhhh...just typing that word brings back so many great memories)! He was wearing a black sweater, but not on his torso...it was around his head. He was dancing with another guy in the strangest, most awkward way that I can't even describe (I'll save that story for another blog). What can I say? I was instantly hooked. 

He gives me HOPE. 

For those of you who don't know me...I'm what some people call a "pessimist" (GASP!). I can accept it, but I draw the line at Debbie Downer or Negative Nancy. I like to call myself a realist. I always expect the worse in most situations, and if I'm wrong...sweet, what a pleasant surprise! Not Jason. He is extremely optimistic and faces challenges without hesitation because he knows he will succeed. It's his positive confidence that gives me BALANCE. It is simple but very calming. And he gives me the FAITH that no matter what, everything is going to be alright and work out for the best. 

But most importantly, he gave me this...

Last weekend Izzy threw a 40th birthday party for Chris!!  She somehow kept the entire shindig a surprise, even blindfolded and dressed him in 70's Rocker gear for a private Black Dog concert at Warehouse Live.  Black Dog, a Led Zeppelin tribute band was so on point I thought about hopping in their van and fulfilling my life long dream of being a 70's rock 'n roll groupie.  I didn't, but I will definitely be at their show in March.  Here's some Smilebooth photos from the party, some much needed smiles for this dreary, cloudy Monday.  

It was a groovy perfect night,  Happy Birthday Chris!!  Lots of people love you, and your wife who loves you the most, knows how to throw a bad ass party.

I'm cranky PREGNANT!

Mostly to my family and Daron and that guy I yelled at in the Costco parking lot…on second thought, screw that guy. He wouldn't let Driscoe and I continue to cross the street, leaving us in the middle of the road as he drove by with his malti-poo on his lap. Jerk. I like mean pregnant Julie in those situations.
So besides the normal cravings, exhaustion, and moodiness, I'm feeling great, and I'm beyond excited for Driscoe to have a sibling.
Our newest bohoBaby will be ready to come play in early August, so I shouldn't be hot and miserable at all. Or when I turn 30 in July while 9 months pregnant, that should be a super fun party.
Ahhh, I know this is a blessing, I'm just a little cranky this pregnancy.  I sometimes find myself growling like Clint Eastwood in Gran Tarino, and even worse, making his scowl. Basically, this angel baby likes to suck the sweet right out of me, which makes me think he or is she is gonna be sweeter than the Skittles I crush on a daily.
