Pop-Up Burlesque!

Although the new Prohibition is still under construction, we have not slowed down. The Dolls have been killing it in this tiny underground production. And the costumes... oh the costumes! The Dolls' costumer aka The Wardrobe Mistress deserves a blog post of her own. That will be next week! Stay tuned!

I love Dita almost as much as I love The Moonlight Dolls. She is elegant, charming, and oh so beautiful. She does not claim to be perfect, but she is perfectly comfortable in her own skin. She is a true woman. I never thought I would be so involved with burlesque, but here I am. I eat, sleep, and breathe beautiful women who have mastered the art of seduction while making audiences laugh through their clever, satirical performances. It's a tough job, but somebody has to do it.

Through the years burlesque performers have turned the other cheek to the taboos of their eras and cast off the social circumstances in which they were bound. These women have empowered the female population through glamour, creativity, and comedy. Burlesque, dating back to Ancient Greece, is a true art form that has stood the test of time. It has bolstered the dignity of women without demeaning men and, in my humble opinion, that is where the true beauty lies. Women delight in it and men appreciate it. Sounds like we're all living happily ever after, doesn't it??!?! Who knew there would be so much glitter involved. And music. Don't forget the music. LONG LIVE BURLESQUE!!!!
