Lessons from a Cowboy


It's rodeo time in Houston and this has turned into serious business at our house.  Dax's Grandma Bev & Grandpa Doug made a stop at Cavender's this weekend and dropped off a bag of goodies that has provided constant entertainment for all of us.  

 They bought him his very own Cowboy hat and belt with a buckle.  He slept in his jeans and belt last night, then woke up this morning so excited to show his friends at school.  He said "it's cowboy day at school today" which I knew it was not, and had the fearful adult thought of - someone might make fun of you.  I quickly snapped out of it and told him he will be the raddest cowboy in all the land and I am super lucky to be his cowboy mom.  Really lucky, and so grateful for my Monday morning reminder of who gives a sh*t what anyone else thinks.

    If there was any little boy who could pull off the Superman jacket, Cowboy hat, boots, jeans and belt buckle, it would be Dax!

      He is rocking them again today Uncle Freddy! Slept in his jeans and belt again last night :/
